Stephen J. Weyer earned his B.S. degree with honors in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his law degree from the University of Dayton. Steve is a member of the Ohio and Indiana Bars, the American Intellectual Property Association, the American Bar Association, and other professional organizations. Steve is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the Ohio and Indiana Bars, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association and other professional organizations.
His experiences in patent prosecution have been diverse, and he has handled cases in a variety of fields, including chemistry, biology, biochemistry, optic, semiconductor manufacturing, and light electrical applications in the burgeoning field of business methods and related patent matters. Currently, his focus is on patent matters in chemical, biochemical and biotechnological arts, and he also has practiced in intellectual property litigation matters and opinion work. He is also currently an Adjunct Professor at the University of Phoenix Online.
