Larson & Taylor, PLC was originally founded in Washington, D.C. in 1954 by attorneys Roberts B. Larson and Andrew E. Taylor. In 1970, the firm moved across the Potomac River to Arlington, Virginia, and in 1997 moved to its present centrally located offices in Alexandria, Virginia, only minutes from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office ("PTO"), administrative agencies and federal courts in Downtown Washington and Northern Virginia, and adjacent Washington National Airport.

Since its inception almost fifty years ago, Larson & Taylor has grown to represent a diverse list of clients including a number of Fortune 500 companies and smaller emerging high technology companies, in addition to many small companies and private individuals. The firm also serves an extensive list of foreign clients, including several large foreign corporations and many foreign law firms.

Larson & Taylor has a qualified staff of trained paralegals and legal assistants and extensive search capabilities including, access to most existing intellectual property and other legal databases such as Westlaw, Lexis, Saegis, and Dialog in addition to the BNA CD-ROM Intellectual Property Library. Also, members of the firm's staff visit the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office every business day to conduct patent and trademark searches, inspect and copy files or other documents, file or deliver patent and trademark documents, or conduct interviews with examiners on patent and trademark cases.
